Advancing Child Well-being: Bridging Research, Advocacy, and Action
Applied developmental scientist focused on prevention and intervention to improve child socioemotional outcomes facing risk- currently on the market for a faculty position, job, or postdoc
Welcome to Drew McGee's digital home. As an applied Developmental Psychology scientist, I am dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized children and families through research, policies, and community initiatives. I focus on bridging the gap between science and practice/policy to create equitable opportunities for kids and families to thrive.
Addressing adversity and working across systems levels for kids:
policy to preschool to parenting to physiology
To create lasting change for children and families facing risk and adversity, both basic and applied science must be used to foster resilience and well-being and implement evidence-based policies and interventions. My overarching goal is to address disparities in resources and outcomes, especially for children from underserved and marginalized communities.
